Terms of Service
Last updated: May 8, 2026
These terms govern your use of RocketForge (the “Service”), operated by Jon Wiese. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use RocketForge. If you are under 18, you should review these terms with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly accept users under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we will close it and delete the associated data.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. One person, one account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep it current. We rely on your email address to send important account and security notices, so keep it valid.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything illegal, fraudulent, or harmful to others.
- Try to break, probe, or overload the Service, or attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours.
- Scrape, copy, or republish other users' designs without permission.
- Upload content that infringes intellectual property, contains malware, or violates someone's privacy.
- Misrepresent the Service or its outputs as professional engineering analysis.
- Resell, sublicense, or rent the Service to others.
4. Your designs and content
You own the rocket designs, simulations, and other content you create. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, transmit, and display your content solely so we can operate the Service for you and the people you choose to share with. We do not claim ownership of your designs and we do not use your content to train machine learning models or for advertising.
5. Service availability and changes
RocketForge is in active development. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We'll do our best to keep the Service running smoothly, but we do not guarantee uptime, data preservation, or continued availability of any specific feature. Back up anything you can't afford to lose.
6. Simulation disclaimer
RocketForge's simulation results are estimates based on physical models and the inputs you provide. They are not a substitute for professional engineering analysis, certification, or flight testing. Actual rocket flights involve real-world variables that no simulator can fully capture. Always follow your local laws, the safety code of a recognized rocketry association (such as NAR or Tripoli in the United States), and the instructions of certified motor manufacturers when building or launching real rockets.
7. No warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or that simulation results are accurate.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, RocketForge and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, designs, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to one hundred United States dollars ($100), or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater.
9. Termination
You can stop using the Service or delete your account at any time from the settings page. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the Service, or expose us to legal risk. On termination, the rights and licenses you grant us under these terms end, except for backups and logs we are required to keep for security or legal reasons.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll let you know in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising from these terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located there.
